All KCSDRD Reserves are responsible to keeping track of their own hours.
To fully be compliant and remain a Reserve Officer, each Reserve Officer must meet the requirements each year.
All members are expected to complete the following minimum
requirements on an annual basis:
A. Jail Security for Church Services.
1. Participate in two (2) Church Security Details.
2. Services cancelled when a member has signed up in good faith
may be counted toward the requirements.
3. Members who are unable to work regular Church Security Details
due to a conflict may substitute two (2) shifts at a minimum of
four (4) hours each, in either the Jail, Prisoner Transport or a
combination of the two.
B. Kalamazoo County Fair Security.
1. Participate in three (3) nights at the Kal. County Fair.
2. Members who are sent home early by the event OIC due to over
staffing or other events beyond the control of the member, may
still count the occurrence toward the minimum requirements.
C. Event.
1. Participate in one (1) Division event other than those listed
above.
2. Division training and administrative activities are excluded and do
not count toward event participation unless specifically
authorized by the Executive Staff.
D. Division Meetings.
1. Members are expected to attend all Division meetings (First
Thursday of each month).
2. Members who are unable to attend a meeting must contact their
Squad Corporal in advance of the meeting to be excused.
3. Members who are unable to attend meetings on a regular basis
due to work or similar commitments, shall submit a letter to the
command staff requesting to be excused.
All participations reports are due monthly.
The reports are to be turned in to Sgt. Griffore each month.
In order to turn in the reports you may send them by email, snail mail, or turn them in at each monthly Division Meeting.
