Here is a short tutorial on how to post stuff on our new site.

~Step One:

Click the "Create content" link in the navigation menu. This will bring you to a page with a list of thing you can make.

~Step Two:

Select a type of content you would like to make. For this example I am going to make a "General News" item.

~Step Three:

On this page it looks like a lot but it is easy.

The first box you will see is labeled "Display Slider/Features" this is used when you want your item to be displayed in the news slider or in the feature sections. This is not require so you can leave it at none.

Next is the title, this should be self explanatory.

Then there is the pager which is not needed. It is used when your image does not load  in the news slider. So the users will know what it is supposed to be.

The slider text is required so enter a brief description about your article. 200 characters or less.

Now we are at the image section. Here you can upload an image for your article or leave this field blank and the system will use a default image. If you upload your image needs to be 500K or less and in jpeg,jpg,gif,png format.

And finally you can now type your content.

~Step Four:

After you have posted your article you should be taken to the article itself.

if your article is going to be public then there is nothing else you need to do. If you want to limit who can see the article then click the "Access Control" at the top of the article.

In this page you can select the group of people that can see, edit, and delete this article. I suggest just selecting all of the groups except the anonymous user group. After you are done doing that you click the save button at the bottom, now you are finished.

I hope this will help some people with the posting process. I think this is much easier and cleaner way then we used to do things.
